I'm impressed

...and a little awed by your accomplishment!

I’ve lived here for 6 years, my husband is French, I speak – but I read in English.

Except for Fred Vargas I almost always find the books in French too tough for my brain when for me reading is supposed to be relaxing.

Bravo!

Thanks

Thank you! It feels strange to me that someone else would be impressed and awed by something I’ve accomplished.
I’m currently Studying Abroad in Avignon and everything is in French. If I had time to read, I might read in English. I want to buy more books in French though—it’ll be cheaper to do that here in France!

Merci beaucoup! (and now, back to Les Devoirs!)

I love Avignon – I went there on my second date w my husband.

Yes, no shortage of French books here, but still – reading in a foreign language requires effort, and i applaud you for it.

What are you studying & how long are you staying in France?

My major in university is French (minor in English) so France is the best place to be. I’m taking history classes and lit/linguistics classes. I’ll only be in France until mid-December (unfortunately.) But I can always come back!

I love Avignon, too. It’s a wonderful place to live.
