How to have a brain by sortilegio

"Wizard of oZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

How I did it: for the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz we actually got to see it on the Big Screen which I don't think I'd EVER had a chance to before

it was heartening to note that the Straw Man was, in the end, the smartest one of the bunch - from the very get-go, even as he yearned for Heightened cerebral powers, he was displaying his above average reasoning and discerning skills.

so maybe the moral of the story is we're always smarter than we think - and even when it feels you don't.

so maybe I now mark this one off as DONE

Lessons & tips: on another note, what came first? The naming of the 'straw man' as the logical fallacy:, or the choice to characterize the man needing a brain in the movies as 'the straw man'?

i wonder if each of us has to battle one of the Wizard of Oz archetypes? There’s the one who wants more brains, the one who wants more heart, the one who wants more guts, the one who wants to be themselves, ‘to thine own self be true’

there’s always a chance i don’t got enough to do… of course

hah! I came to this partly due to ‘if I only had a brain’ (which always seems to me a hot commodity anyhow) but I gotta say I think I’m the damned lion coward thing

of course, now I picked up Wicked by Maguire and am really really liking the Wicked Witch character ha ha!! (from the novel, of course. NOt the movies. Though them flying monkeys are pretty kewl)

what about yourself? or even winnie the poo character?
