I have to write atleast 150 characters, but it is very simple. I got braces. My general dentist referred me to ortho and now I am months away from having them removed. I have gained an amazing confidence, that may be superficial, but I cannot see it as any other way than : Smiling more make you happy!
Lessons & tips: Don't stop until you get what you want. You don't have to settle for something you like. Because no matter what, unless you're completely delusional, your dissatisfaction will continue to rear its ugly head.
I had to learn how to smile at 20 years old. I spent so many years (16+) trying to hide my gap, resulting in a crooked smile, causing more attention to what I was trying to deflect attention from.
I just had a breast redux as well. I could not be happier. If you don't like it, change it.
