How to begin to feel grateful for what we have when I'm paying bills, doing our monthly and weekly budgets, and be flexible knowing that "other" stuff will make it necessary for me to adjust my budgets.
"By looking at money and budgeting in a positive way, by being thankful for what we do have makes it easier to deal with all the stuff that creeps up on us so that I have to change the budget. I feel more positive and not grumpy at all. "
How I did it: I changed my attitude from grumpy to positive.
I changed my approach. I am relaxed when I'm doing my banking and my budget. I am not my bank account, I am not my budget. All that stuff is not me.
I even cheered today when I told my husband that we have some money in savings.
Lessons & tips: Be thankful that you have enough money to have somwhere to live, food and drink, and family and friends, and clothing.
All the needs count, not the wants.
Resources: I just realized that I was really bitchy whenever I was paying bills and I didn't like how I felt so I thought I would try and attitude chage and see if I could make it a more positive experience, It worked!
