How to get a job
How I did it: Just like every other '09 college grad I just kept writing cover letters and sending my resume out. Eventually I heard back from some of the first places I applied to and get offered a job. It helped to give my resume out to companies that had a history with hiring graduates from my college. It was something two different employers mentioned to me as a reason I made it to the next level.
Lessons & tips: I don't care what you may have heard in the past about cover letters, but an email with the cover letter as the body is a better way to go because it makes the employer notice and read it right away. Last tip: Don't forget where you applied in the past. Something cool might come up.
Resources: Use InDesign from Adobe to make your Resume eye catching but professional looking. I had a class on design in my last semester of college and it helped.
