How to create my own stimulus plan by doing at least one NEW AND FULFILLING thing in July, August, and September 2009
How I did it: SO:
July-
1. My best friend's younger sister had been wanting to learn how to cook, so I had her over before July 4th to help prep/ give her some lessons/advice in the kitchen-- it took some planning & patience-- but a definite win-win all around!! :)
2. Also joined a flag football league/team & got to meet some new people & have a blast!!
3. Just had a ton of trips/travel in July/Aug--so I definitely took advantage of the joie de vivre of summer & fully enjoyed lots of good "lazy time" w/ friends and family & had plenty of adventures along the way.
August-
Actively worked on falling out of love & happy to report I was finally able to do so through some really honest conversations with him & w/ mysellf re: life goals...and by finally being able to really understand/see his side & acknowledge the gap between us. While it will be difficult...I think we'll be able to stay friendly at least on an aquaintence level and avoid taking on bitter baggage (which I was reallllly trying to avoid at all costs)...it was a really long and painful path...but definitely worth it.
September-
I finally concluded that while an MBA might be the most pragmatic path...law school and further developing that mode of thinking is what I'm most passionate about...so I'm signed up for the Dec 5th exam...and a prep course which begins this sunday...needless to say...fall will find my social life very low-key...but for very good reason & I'm really excited about it!! :)
