How to visit more museums
How I did it: I first made a list of museums I wanted to see. I made a spreadsheet that listed the websites, cost and hours. . I planned to visit two a month. I tried to find free ones or outdoor or places tucked away in small local towns.
So, it didn't work out SOO smoothly.
I ended up doing about one museum a month. I did some popular ones in Philly but my favorites are the strange ones. I really loved the Wharton Esherick Museum and didn't really like the Brandywine Museum.
Additionally, I tried to find a local place to check out. When I visited National Watch and Clock Museum and stopped at a local Amish restaurant and "The Fish Place." When I visited the Museum of Natural Science, it hit up the Reading Terminal. This is key to everything.
Lessons & tips: Go by yourself and just expand your horizons. Check out stuff off the beaten path. It isn't that expensive, either.
Resources: The Internet. Word of mouth.
