How to go to Disney World
How I did it: Set my mind to it, and saved every penny I had until I got it. You just have to set your mind to it and go for it!
I booked the trip itself through a travel agent with lots of tips and advise from othersa who were there before and kept up on online forums like disneyworldmoms.com who had lots of up-to-date information.
Lessons & tips:
- Don't be afraid to do the simplest things, rides, attractions, they could end up your favorite!
- Even if someone tells you they didn't like a ride or attraction, if you wanted to try it before you heard a review-try it anyway, and take everything with a grain of salt.
- Get a fast pass for Toy Story Mania first thing in the AM at Hollywood Studios-you may have to wait a few hours (and have lots of fun on other rides/attractions while waiting-even park hop) but it's so worth it!
- If someone asks you to be in a show-DO IT!
- Meet the characters-if you can and if there are no huge line-ups. It's so much fun!
- Being "grown up" in Walt Disney World isn't fun-be a kid!
- Starving waiting for a parade at Magic Kingdom?-Casey's Hot Dogs are a LIFESAVER and very good!
- Get as many pictures by Photopass Photographers as you can-and I highly recommend pre-ordering the CD-I really wish I had now, it's gonna cost an extra $50 since I didn't :(
- If you are there during the Halloween season-try to go to the party. The Villain's Mix and Mingle, Halloween Parade, and Fireworks are so worth it!
- Explore! Especially Animal Kingdom-you can find some really cool stuff if you go off the main roads and down side trails-and they won't be very crowded
- Most importantly-Have Fun!
