"It was wonderful --also was at times surprising, prophetic, frightening, silly, touching, puzzling, and more-- highly recommended."
How I did it: I've had different kinds of dream journals --in notebook and also I bought a 3 ring binder once, decorated the cover by just gluing magazine photos and such in a collage style and every morning I would write down my dreams inside first thing. I also drew various parts of dreams when it felt like I needed to do that or to use it as a way to remember. Found that by saying "I will remember my dreams" every night before sleeping that I always did. Also talking with others about dreams helped my recall also. I loved keeping a dream journal.
Lessons & tips: 1. Make your journal personal --decorate it.
2. Every night say "I will remember my dreams"
3. Talk about dreams with everyone.
4. Feel free to include art, not just words where you need to --you don't even have to draw if you don't want to, find magazine photos to collage and use that. Whatever will get the image down so you can always remember. Don't worry how "good or bad" your art is, just do it.
5. Keep your journal and pens/markers near the bed so they are within reach and you don't have to get out of bed till you are done recording your dream.
6. Read books about dreams.
