How to get my tongue pierced.
How I did it: I had to wait until I became of age, because I knew my archaic mother would never sign for me. I turned 18 last Monday (9/21) and I went to have it done that following Friday. Mmhm. Of course, it led to turmoil between my mother and I but honestly, I naturally didn't give shit because it was gonna happen sooner or later. I had to move out for the weekend because she was being that unreasonable. She's dealing with it now and either way, I still don't care, I'm tired of living for that woman and her controlling every aspect of my life, I needed to do something for me and strictly for me. I'm quite selfless and we all need to be selfish sometimes. But ANYWAY, It's been a whole week now and I am so in love. I'm going shopping for new jewelry soon =)
Lessons & tips: DO NOT TENSE UP, that'll just ruin the experience for you.
Get a piercer that will take the the time to explain the process with you and what you should do afterward. Don't get a rude, mean, or pretentious piercer. Why pay good money for some rude person to hurt you?
Biotene, SEA salt water, and Ice should be your staples for that first week. The sea salt water is to insure that it WON'T get infected and it subsides soreness also. Biotene does the same thing but I'm over overcautious so I did both. Do both after each time you eat.
I'm just letting you know that 1st night is rough, Eat a big, good meal before and then strictly soft foods afterward or just ice for that 1st night and 2nd day but as days go on, it gets better and you can have normal foods
just cut it all up real fine and place it directly into your molars (back teeth).
Keep your hand away from your mouth. That's just begging for trouble!
Bruising is normal. Bleeding is normal. Yellow-white discharge is normal. That all just means you're healing normally. =)
While you're eating, If you're tempted to, DON'T take it out. It can close up or shrink just MINUTES after taking it out. If you like it, keep it there.
