How to live abroad by naijacandy

How I did it: I stayed in London for half a year. It wasn't quite living abroad but I loved being away in a different country amidst British people for such an extended period.

I have a cousin in London and that made it easy. I had food and somewhere to live and access to a car.

I picked up some easy work for pocket cash and shopping money. 

Lessons & tips: Suck up to any relatives you may have! It helps if you love them but if you don't.. just fake it! :) 

Be willing to do whatever it takes to experience.. that's the hustler's code... when you get there be open to life and be spontaneous.

Resources: Don't waste time planning anything.. that's a sure way of avoiding ever going anywhere.

Planning is a spectator sport. 

If you're young, the easier. If you've got kids.. well then maybe you DO need to plan. but don't get caught in that mode and end up living your same old life planning for a better one all the while.
