How to get my internet persona organized

How I did it: I wanted to both get my name out there in case a potential employer would google me (used LinkedIn), but also keep most of my stuff relatively anonymous, so I came up with a name to go by that I like. I tend to keep everything pretty professional, even in real life, so it wasn't too big a deal, but I keep Facebook friends only, while also editing my friends list.
Lessons & tips: Try out a lot of different websites for blog hosting. What do your friends use? Do you want to start your own website? If so, make sure you know what you want on it. The more friends you have on a particular website, the more often you'll use it. Check out your favorite internet personalities' various websites and what they link to what.
