How I did it: I went to the bakfiets.nl website and found a dealer in my area. I went to go for a test ride and found it a great experience. So we placed an order and had it delivered to the dealer within a few weeks.
Lessons & tips: Do not buy the fake bakfiets, which will cost you about 750 Euro, but is a very cheaply made rip-off of the original. Sources say it will rust and start falling apart within weeks, and you will have not the same warranties as with the real thing.
