How to see more live music

How I did it: I kept an eye out for concert dates on the websites of my favourite bands, as well as having a few friends (who were quite into live music) tell me when they're planning to buy tickets.
Lessons & tips: If you're not quite sure about the band, it might be worth going anyway - if the main attraction still doesn't do much for you, then the supporting band might.
