How I did it: My boyfriend and me registered for the Flint Zombie Walk. Cities around the world celebrate a day of dressing up as zombies and donating food + money. The money from all the participants went to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan which has a four (out of four) star rating on Charity navigator. We had a good time moaning and groaning at local pedestrians and enjoyed tasty desserts right after. 

Lessons & tips: In October, find out what city your state holds a Zombie Walk for charity and register yourself and some friends!
