How to make a bottle cap pincushion by Dooffodil

"I thoroughly enjoyed recycling bottle caps and creating them into nifty little things."

How I did it: Saturday was the perfect day for delighting in a fun craft project. I had stumbled upon a generous lady's flickr with instructions on making small, fancy pincushions using bottlecaps a while back, and wanted to try create a couple of them. So, armed with a pair of scissors, pieces of felt, needle and thread, an eyeball (shudder) and a pot of African violets were formed.

I am quite pleased with the results of my first attempt. They feel too precious to be pricked with pins, and they're now poised on the desk as mini decorations. I'd like to try my hand at making more in the near future, especially ones of the other designs.
