How I did it: I was accepted into an acting conservatory. I took out a lot of loans in order to afford rent and the cost of living. Unfortunately, money was harder to come by this year. So I had to return home. I want to be more finacially prepared next time I go up there.

Lessons & tips: It is tough. People are hard there. But there are also plenty of helpful people. Especially if you need directions. Make sure you are somewhat finacially stable. Jobs are hard to come by and living is EXPENSIVE, so be prepared.
