How to learn a programming langauge
"I learnt Scratch, a programming language for kids from MIT"
How I did it: I know it's not a "proper" programming language as such, it's still good to learn something like Scratch. I'd like to extend this into something a little more serious, but this was a good start to getting back into the sort of thinking needed. Plus, I got to teach it to the kids at school.
Lessons & tips: Read the help menus, look at website tutorials, ask for advice from those who know... but mainly just play a lot. Try to build a couple of small, simple projects with a defined goal.
