How to get my learner's permit

"It was fun and exciting, especially getting the card in the mail."
How I did it: I was so paranoid that the test was really hard and that I'd fail so I read every word of the booklet that they give you. And when I finally went for the test there was only 20 questions with half of them asking what the different signs mean. It was ridiculously easy and I got all the answers right. It took me 2 weeks because I had to read the book, then find the money, then find time to go on a weekday afternoon.
Lessons & tips: Don't worry about the test it's really easy and short (at least in NY) Just make sure to learn the stuff about turning, alcohol, and road signs and you should pass with flying colors.
Resources: The book they give out in the DMV. That's all you need, maybe even less. Get a person who already knows how to drive to tell you.
