How I did it: Purchased tickets from CoSport in 2006 when they first were available.
Finalized travel and tour arrangements with China Discovery Tours in 2007. I selected various locations in China that I wanted to see, and they put together an itinerary for me.
Paid final bill, September 2008.
Lessons & tips: Incredibly expensive, but worth every penny!
