How to run a marathon
How I did it: i started training in the beginning of june. I choose to run the Chicago Marathon. My family was so supportive and we thought we could make a weekend trip out of it. So, in june, i started running on a regular basis. I structured my training around The Nonrunner's Marathon Guide for Women: Get Off Your Butt and On with Your Training book by Dawn Dais. I listened to my body and tailored the training a little bit but the book was awesome. Dais is a great writer and i was constantly laughing as i read her book. It made it so realistic to me. I am not a natural runner and until i decided this i hadnt run before so it was great to hear about it from another person that was the same way and yet still found a way to the end of that very long journey!
Lessons & tips: The Nonrunner's Marathon Guide for Women: Get Off Your Butt and On with Your Training is a great read for running marathonS!
