How I did it: It was a trip with my ex - camping on our motorcycles. We had been riding all day and hoped to make it to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal before the last sailing, but we didn't make it. So I thought, "I know"! Let's camp on Cypress Mountain! We rode up to the lookout point and kicked back on top of the world. Vancouver's lights sprawled out from under us and you could hear the city hum with energy. It was warm enough that we decided not to set up the tent, so we zipped our sleeping bags together behind a tree and snuggled in for the night. It was amazing to fall asleep in that environment and even better to wake up to a sunrise over the cityscape - sure wish I was a photographer back then, lol.

Lessons & tips: Don't sleep on an anthill. They're pretty quiet through the night, but a rude awakening in the morning. It was still worth it.
