How to learn to save money

How I did it: Every since I have left home for the city my spending habbits kind of got out of hand. But when I had no income I came to realize what I was doing when I couldn't pay the credit card bill. I don't even know how I have blown so much money over the years.
Anyway, I learned not to blow your entire paycheck at once. don't buy things you don't need and can't really afford. It is ok to splurge once in awhile, not all the time. Lastly, I learned saving a bit off every pay check counts!
