How to go to japan
How I did it: I'd been saving money for a very long time! I went through the GenkiJacs program, which I loved. There I was taught Japanese and I took a culture class. That consisted of a sweet making class, caligraphy, shrine and temple viewing, potery making.. the Japanese will stare at you, especially if you're tall.
I also went to the arcades, saw Transformers 2 with Japanese subtitles, went to the beach (fabulous, starfish by the handfull) and much more. I made amazing friends and learned much quicker by being surrounded by it!
Lessons & tips: Had I done it over, I would've saved money by biking to school everyday and spending less on food. The program I went with costed roughly 3 grand, so I would recamend taking 4 grand for shopping, food, partying (which we did every week) and everything else!
Resources: A job for money, internet for program research (GenkiJacs), plane ticket (traveloctiy), supportive family.
