How I did it: My sister and I drove from Seattle Washington to California on our way home to Oklahoma. We stopped in San Francisco, saw the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Muir Woods, and a few other things.
Lessons & tips: Visit the Muir Woods nearby. Be an aggressive driver at night because California drivers/driving is/are not how they portray them to be on TV. Not large open expanses of road, more like clogged pipes.
