How to stop taking myself so seriously
How I did it: I think it depends on the person how you came to this goal, how you solve it etc....but with me I just knew that I was ruining my own life with my thoughts. I used to take everything personally and very seriously too lol
So I "seriously" investigated about this. I went to a hippie village and saw a famous phychic. I asked my friends. I saw a tarot reader. I practiced zen and reiki. I read books, thought about a lot of things. I travelled and talked to strangers. I got into Feng shui. I investigated about food and its effects. I learnt about colours and their phychological effects.
And found that... nine times out of ten my serious thoughts, attitudes, defensiveness and anxiety come from hunger, lack of exercise, surpressed desires (material, love, sex, whatever), hormone inbalance, lack of information, uninvestigated thoughts and theories....Basically imagination or physical stress or lack of joy in general.
First, I went to a hip hop class which is so not me and slowly started going out of my comfort zone. Then slowly fixed my life like getting regular sleep, choosing what to eat, controlling anxiety logically etc...
My journey still continues...not so seriously.....
Lessons & tips: Go out and dance, love, think of something funny. Go and see nature. Eat celery. Take a bath. Smile.
