How to stop hitting the snooze button
How I did it: After a lot of experiments (moving the alarm clock further away from bed, different ringing tones, going earlier to sleep etc.) I have finally found my way to stop snoozing.
To my surprise the key was to choose a "mild" ringing tone.. one that doesn't make me JUMP out of bed in 1 second. I prefer to hear the sound, register that I should get up and then turn of the alarm and get up. (this only takes around 5 sec but for me it makes a huge difference to be cooperating with the alarm in stead of getting angry at it)
Another thing that helped was that I have a exam period of roughy 2 weeks and during that time I strived to wake up between 7 and 8 every morning to make it a habit.
Once the habit is established, it isn’t hard at all to get up, assuming you’re going to bed at a reasonable time the night before.
