How to become a great hostess
How I did it: My mantra prepare ahead of time for guest.
Do as much of the cooking and prep work before the guest arrive.
This way you can enjoy your family and friends while they are there instead of running around trying to remember everything.
A clean home always makes people feel comfortable.
Decide on the bedroom(s) they will be using.
Make sure the rooms are cleaned and have fresh linens on the beds.
Leave fresh clean bath towels in the room. If you know your guest like chocolate or hard candy, leave a small bowl of candy in their room.
Make their bathroom special. Even if they will be using the main bathroom, make sure it's clean, stocked and have some type of air freshener available. It's also a nice touch to have hand lotion available for them in the bathroom.
It doesn't have to be elaborate. Remember, the goal is to make it special not uncomfortable.
