How to make money from my crafts
How I did it: Making money from your crafts takes time, and trial and error.
I took my time and it took a while, but it's worth it.
I started through trial and error, playing around with what sells and what doesn't.
I would say the best thing is to keep your shop consistent, with one or two things, or at least keep it to one subject, such as knitwear, jewelry, or paper goods.
Keep it consistent. And keep at the things you love to do.
Do what you love, and everthing else will follow.
Lessons & tips: Document all your work on flickr and facebook, taking pictures of all your work. Start a blog.
Get people to notice your work. Then open your etsy shop, and take notice of what sells and what doesn't.
Keep at it, and don't give up. Always welcome custom orders, as that brings in lots of customers.
Resources: I look at the example of The Crafty Chica, and also bought the book Craft Inc, which is a great guide.
