How to declutter my room
How I did it: Just get stuck in, don't panic or rush and don't think of everything you need to do all at once. Just start with one section and keep focused on that. Don't allow yourself to be distracted to other areas. Once you start making a dent, you get more and more enthusiastic and energetic
Lessons & tips: Don't overwhelm yourself by setting a large goal for yourself. Give yourself a small goal, like an area of the room to tidy or to put a pile of clothes away or do recycling and you will find once you have checked that off the list you have even more energy and motivation
Resources: Inspiration from watching Life Laundry and other programmes such as How Clean is Your House (not that my home is ANYWHERE near as cluttered and dirty as those homes), seeing the before and after pics in that programme gives you solid evidence on how a tidy and clean environment where everything has a place, can have such a calming and positive effect on you.
