How to travel and work to better the image of America in foreign countries!
"I travelled around and attempted to be helpful."
How I did it: When I was 16, before I knew that this was my life's goal, I spent one year in Germany. Since then, I have learned German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Greek, and Korean. That really openned up a lot of doors for me. I have met people. I have made friends. I even managed to make so-called Nazis not hate the US so much. Friends of mine from Ireland, Germany, and Austria have all come here to visit, and are STILL coming. All of them are impressed with what we have to offer.
Lessons & tips: Be willing to travel and learn! In other words, be open-minded!
Resources: AFS, Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange, Airlines, Langenscheidt, Oxford, Oreo, JIF, Lucky Charms, Pizza Hut.
