How I did it: There are weeks that are tough. I find have to plan where my money is going, and honestly, it's not that much. I think, $22 per month? Something like that. I wish I could do more.
I planned for it, and signed back up. It's easy, it's the commitment that is difficult for me, not because of not wishing to help someone, but because it forces me to always, always keep money in my account. Planning for somebody else forces me to be more responsible, and that is the crux of it.
52 weeks refers to the one year I've been doing this.
Lessons & tips: Be sure to plan for this each month. Keep track of your budget, incoming, outgoing, any philanthropic ventures and how much you eat out. It can get really amazing and sobering quite fast.
