How to set up my own social firm
How I did it: I decided to take add a more academic slice to this question. I will be assessing the merits of various social entrepeneurial systems, comparing co-operative models and social equity funds.
This may take the form of a paper or an online article.
I am currently working with a Redhill based social enterprise so I feel like my primary goal has been achieved - even if I didn't set up the venture in question myself.
In the words of Peter from Dragons Den "It's not investment you need, it's help, infrastructure and support. I think you should join a larger organization, learn from it enjoy it and make your dream come true and for that reason I can't invest in this because it will be just you that I am investing in, and for that reason I am out.'' Lessons & tips: Build your business with strong ethical and community values. Co-operative trading and enterprise is an alternative model to that of free trade, ultimately free trade is destructive for us all.
If you are not ready to set up and run your own products then help some other people along the way.
