How to learn how to skip jumping rope
How I did it: First of all I got the right jumping rope that fit my height and watched some videos on youtube.com (e.g. Art of Skipping). All the rest is practice. It was very hard to feel the rhythm and it irritated much at the beginning, but I did give up.
I started from the very simple jump (feet closed together) and then moved to basic (jog-step). When I could skip for 5 min without stopping I moved to another type (can-can, telemark, straddle, sprint, twister, double skip, etc.)
Lessons & tips: First of all find the right skipping rope. Hold the rope as if you were going to start jumping and step with your foot in the middle of it, the grips must be on the same level with you chest or armpits.
