Awesome!
I plan to walk in a 5K race this Saturday morning so reading about how you did it is an inspiration to me!
How I did it: Start with 1 mile, or whatever you can do. Keep going, every day brings you a little closer! Run outside as often as possible, but treadmills will do the trick as well. Get a partner to compete with you.

Honestly day 1 I couldn’t but jog a mile, and it wasn’t pretty. Then at 3.1 miles on the treadmill I moved to outside and it was like cutting my abilities in half :( But, after a few tries it evened up, and you learn to pace (MOST IMPORTANT) and read yourself. Several 5K’s later, I’m still alive, amazingly.
Now, ask me after the half marathon I’m trying to talk myself into.
