"I felt so artsy afterward"
How I did it: I wanted to enter a tshirt contest for a mildly entertaining podcast I listen to. I finally came to my school's design lab to use the latest version of Photoshop, which I do not have on my laptop (I'm stuck on CS1). It only took a bit of trial and error (I know some basic PS), and a couple of web searches to guide me on my way. I found great sites for photoshop shapes and brushes and these were infinitely helpful in making the shirt.
edit: I ended up getting third place in the contest!
Lessons & tips:
- Use a fast computer with Photoshop, or another design/editing application. (My uni has macs in one of the labs, all of them with CS4)
- You don't always need the latest, best version of software. If you're not a pro, the basic features usually suffice.
- If you're new to this and can't figure something out, run a web search for instructions/tutorial so you don't waste time poking buttons trying to figure it out yourself (unless you have time to waste, lol).
- Take your time and make it look cool!
