How I did it: Visited twice. Few hours each time, not long enough.
Last time stayed at Travel lodge Covent Garden - absolutely fine and very convenient for walking to British Museum. Bought guide map and chose specific areas wanted to see in limited time we had. Began, walked around looking awestruck, asked guides when we lost our way. Would love a full day there.

Lessons & tips:

• Stay nearby.
• Allow plenty time.
• Take water if it's hot day, you can sit outside or on some bench seating inside to have a rest between ventures. Snacks could be welcome as cafe can be pricey.
• Stop frequently to orientate yourself.
• Enjoy !
