How I did it: I ordered henna from Catherine Cartwright-Jones on her HennaForHair.Com website. It takes three days for the color to oxidize (darken) after you apply it.
I had natural blonde hair with lighter blonde highlights in my hair prior to the henna, so I have a mix of dark red and vibrant red where the highlights were *I recommend this method before hennaing*

Lessons & tips: WARNING!--If you are a blonde female changing to a redhead you need to realize that men change their reactions to you! I was blonde and got a lot of attention, but after changing to red I get noticed more for my personality which takes a lot longer. I personally enjoy this! However, if you are the type that loves to be flattered and oogled at on the street then maybe you should stick with the blonde. This is the #1 disappointment in changing hair colors. ;)

I recommend this method for ALL NATURAL and great results!
However, henna is extremely permanent and you won't be able to lighten your hair! I wanted to go back to blonde for a while but I am waiting because apparently it will turn your hair orange!

love it!

The red hair looks amazing on you! If anything I would think perhaps you didn’t get as much oggling from men because you look intimidating with red hair. (In a good way.)
