How to start my own business(es)
"Find something you're good at and use your brain!"
How I did it: Well... the 3 years part was deciding what works and what doesn't. Once you find something that you are very excited about and other people share your enthusiasm, go for it. I didn't quit my day job, and the biz for now is only for extra income, and the products are something that I stand behind and 100% believe in. I have a partner, too, that shares my same enthusiasm. We design the products together and think of fun marketing ideas. Maybe eventually it could be my day job, but for now, it's just fun and extra income!
Lessons & tips:
- There's no 'get rich quick' ideas - YOU will have to find your niche, YOU will have to research the market and gather info.
- It's not hard, just make sure you research local tax requirements. Go to your chamber of commerce or city hall for more info.
- Start small, it costs less and there's less risk
- Don't use your credit cards for this - it's not worth the risk - cash only feels so good with little worry!!
- Talk to people about it and they'll talk about it for you.
- Give awesome customer service and buyers will talk about you to everyone!
Resources: Hard work, trial & error!
