How I did it: I took the 240 question test at http://www.authentichappiness.sas.upenn.edu/Tests/SameAnswers_t.aspx?id=310. The test evaluates strengths in 24 different areas. It took a bit of time to take the test but was definitely worth it.
My results indicated that my top five strengths at this time are:
Top Strength:

Second Strength:
Honesty, authenticity, and genuineness

I also found that I have difficulty typing all of the letters in the word “strength” in the correct order. :)

so I just had to check out my strengths against yours ;)
My results were:

2. Judgment, critical thinking, and open-mindedness
Thinking things through and examining them from all sides are important aspects of who you are. You do not jump to conclusions, and you rely only on solid evidence to make your decisions. You are able to change your mind.
3. Leadership
You excel at the tasks of leadership: encouraging a group to get things done and preserving harmony within the group by making everyone feel included. You do a good job organizing activities and seeing that they happen.

5. Forgiveness and mercy

It’s been interesting re-examining my results. Spirituality… was number 7 (with capacity to love & be loved at 6). I checked where honesty, authenticity & genuineness came for me since I would have expected that to be way up there but it’s listed as 21st out of 24th! That’s worrying! Much food for thought!

was also number 6 for me. At the bottom of my list were Industry, diligence, and perseverance (also known as I am famous for not finishing what I start) at 23 and Humor and playfulness at 24. Worrisome? Oh my yes!

Seriously – there has to be something at the end of the list. On reflection there are other strengths that would worry me far more if they were taking up the lower spots :)
I’ve just spent a few minutes reflecting on my top ten strengths and I really like what I see. I’m feeling quite proud now to be whom I am!

I would not worry about honesty, authenticity, & genuineness coming in lower than you expected, though. You may have been so honest when taking the test that you rated yourself more harshly on the questions in that area. From reading your comments and messages I would expect you to have honesty near the top of your list.
I had Love of Learning as number 6 and Capacity to Love And be Loved as number 7.
My weakest areas were:
23 – Zest, enthusiasm, and energy (I seem to be zestless)
24 – Self-control and self-regulation. I scored myself harshly on these due mainly to my difficulty maintaining a diet and exercise program.

I’m intrigued by honesty appearing so low on my list, though not worried by it. I know I am honest and authentic. I wonder if it may be partly caused by my desire to seek compromise – I generally don’t speak out if it seems to be at the expense of others: some regard this as weakness or indecision. I’m going to look at the test again to see which questions contributed to the honesty score (or lack thereof in my case).
In so doing I shall be employing some of my top strengths: specifially nos. 1, 2, & 4 ;)

I thought that the process of taking the test and reading the results was very enlightening. Like you, I felt kind of special seeing the results. It’s nice to have the opportunity to recognize and appreciate our strengths and the strengths of each other.
