How to have a totally different life by this time next year

"After leaving the US, I move to Germany to study, traveled Europe and Africa and began living in the moment, taking risks I would have never before considered and moving completely out of my comfort zone."
How I did it: At the moment of a complete breakdown of my college major (I switched careers and majors completely halfway through my sophomore year of university), I decided that the best way to change myself along with my major would be a year of study abroad in Germany. With that spur of the moment decision, my life changed, I headed overseas and didn't look back.
I spent the next year studying and travelling in Europe and Northern Africa and then spent a month volunteering in Kenya. To complete my year, I volunteered for another month on an archeological dig in Scotland.
Because of a major life breakdown, I changed my life completely. I went cage diving, I climbed Kilimanjaro, helped orphans and dug up the dead, scaled mountains in the Alps, got drunk at Oktoberfest, celebrated the reunification of Germany in Berlin with native Germans, and joined in the festivities of seven major national holidays in seven different countries. Best of all, I braved finding myself and faced the doubt of others. I became who I wanted to be. Totally worth it.
