How to go to japan

How I did it: Just got a plane ticket and went to visit a friend, spent a week in Tokyo and a few days in Kyoto.
Flew London to Narita with KLM, got some cheap off season tickets.
Staying with a friend greatly reduced my costs, and i sued the metro a lot so over all not too expensive.
Lessons & tips: Find a local to show you around, eat where the locals eat!
