How to get a breast reduction
How I did it: The first year that had went by was the most disappointing. I had gone through roughly 3 months of physical therapy, doctor appointment after doctor appointment, and more months of waiting for a call to find out what day I would be going under. All of this only to find out my surgery would be canceled due to my becoming pregnant 2 months before my scheduled operation date. 9 months past, and needless to say I had a perfect child. Regardless of how blessed and appreciative I was of having this angel brought into my life, I still wanted the surgery taken care of. At first I was concerned that my insurance would not cover me because of the time that had gone by, and the fact that I had a c-section 2 months prior. I ended up calling the doctor anyway because in my mind I didn't have much else to fear other than the words "I am sorry, but no you cannot". To my amazement, they offered to see me. I was re-evaluated, and got a call from my provider saying it would all be taken care of. I was called 3 weeks later saying I had 9 days until I would go into surgery. I was so ecstatic. I got it done this morning at 7:32am. Now, I can wear anything I want and most importantly...Now, I can do anything I want.
Lessons & tips: Keep in mind that this is an operation. You will be going under the knife. There are risks or complications during and after this surgery that could range anywhere from minor to fatal, as with all surgery. Have real expectations of the outcome of your new appearance. Keep yourself informed at all times and ask a lot of questions.
Resources: Over the course of almost 2 years, I educated myself of the typical types of surgeries, I educated myself on the procedures taken during surgery, and I viewed over thousands of "Before and After" pictures of other woman just like me.
