How to move out by burningbrite

How I did it: I moved onto campus at my college and live with roommates. I am funding this completely on my own with no parental support. I looked into private loans, interest rates, and companies. I weighed the two options of living on campus or renting a room as I cannot afford an apt. and came to realization that dorm life would best suit me.

Don't forget

that it also took your parents 22 years.

You say you are “funding this…with no parental support”, which could mean all sorts of things like -your parents didn’t want you to move out and aren’t being very nice about your decision or maybe they couldn’t afford it, but support you in other ways.

In any case, you sound pretty self-reliant & capable. Your parents helped you with those traits either by being difficult parents (you had to rebel to survive!) or by being supportive. Either way, congratulations on a huge step! You have every reason to feel proud & happy (& a little apprehensive)!
