How I did it: We tried the shelter route for quite a while because I believe there are lots of great dogs out there looking for homes... sadly we did not find one that was a match for us. We work full time and needed an adult dog that was relatively well trained as we would not have the time to do so ourselves. I found out about Casey through a contact that shows labs... he was bred to be shown, a year old but not cut out for the show ring.... they were looking to place him in a pet home. Hooray for us - he was a perfect match and fits right into our home and our lifestyle. We are in love.
