How I did it:

• Got a reasonable paying job
• Live at home with parents for as long as possible
• Don't smoke - At least thousands of $$$ each year
• Drink tap water - Bottled water carries a markup of between 1000 and 4000 %
• Pay off closing balance on credit card each month to avoid paying interest. Avoid the debt trap altogether. If you can't afford it, don't buy it.

Lessons & tips: You don't have to be completely tight to save money. Follow points above and you can have a perfectly comfortable quality of life.
