How I did it: Struggling to get to gigs because you're no where near them? Do what I did and move! I moved to Brighton five weeks ago and have the creme de la creme on my doorstep every night of the week: I'm in heaven! Before I was seeing around 5 gigs a year, now I see one every week :)

Lessons & tips: Always keep hunting online for tip offs of where you're favourite bands are going to be playing. Sign up to all the newsletters of the venues near you. Sign up on facebook to music promoters and keep your nose poked into myspace for bands' gig dates. Grab every flyer thrown at you!
