How I did it: Time was a major factor in really accepting reality as it is now rather than how I wanted reality to be.  I've finally realized that I deserve better than someone who treats me shabbily, and I deserve someone who whole-heartedly wants to be with me, who wholeheartedly appreciates me for who I am.  I've been getting there slowly over the last several months, and although I feel sad today, I feel I am ready to truly let go of that situation and move on with my life. I am ready to evolve into my potential, to not be held back by the chaos and the agony of the past. I am ready for the next adventure, the next chapter in my life, (as scary as I find the prospect of change) and this time I'l be doubly sure not to be influenced by people who are overall, detrimental to my well-being.
