How I did it: it used to bother me that everyone around me found people... until i realized that they were okay with settling with whoever would love them... i was frustrated and mockingly decided to hold off on love until i found someone who fit everything on my list of "must haves." i was cynical and truly made one, trying to defy any person remotely interested in me to live up to it all. i still can't believe i found someone who actually did. honestly, what other person in their mid-twenties likes 70s country, compost piles, and garrison keillor? we've been married since august.
