How to pick Apples
"Don't be afraid to climb the trees!"
How I did it: One early morning, after meeting friends for breakfast, my wife and I drove out to one of the orchards about an hour from our house and spent about an hour climbing trees to pick about a half bushel of apples.
My wife and I were out quite late in the season and we still had no trouble filling our baskets. About a month later and we're still enjoying our apples.
And believe me, fresh picked apples taste nothing like the ones you buy in the grocery store!
Lessons & tips: Like I said above, don't be afraid to climb high in the trees (check
with the orchard owner first!) to get some of the apples which are
harder to get at. These are some of where the best apples are hidden
because people don't typically get high enough.
